Take 1 cup of damson preserves, 1/4 cup of butter, 1 cup of sugar, and 2 or 4 eggs. Beat all together, then pour over mixture 1 cup of boiling water and add 2 teaspoonfuls of vanilla. This Makes 2 pies. (Mt. Solon, Va.)
